    YEEAAAHHHH - he came out fine!! i'm so glad to hear it went well!

    he'll get used to his more normal jaw. in the meantime, it's all just rest and recuperation. better than living life w/ his mouth...

    based on your list, i would recommend -

    DW - NVU is a really good text editor that i've used to replace DW
    DOC/XLS files - OpenOffice does an excellent job of opening all these
    PSD - GIMP...

    i realize you're in SA, but if you were in the US, you might consider trying courses at Caltech or MIT - those have the potential of sythensizing bioscience w/ the IT flavor.
