If you want the most recent JWM (with SVG/PNG/JPEG support compiled in) you can use:
ppa:israeldahl/jwm
If you want a nicer menu and a graphical configuration for jwm

Hi,
Right now I am currently working with ToriOS, which is a yet to be released OS, based on Ubuntu 12.04 that uses JWM for the WM.
I have been programming a settings manager to allow users to...
Not really,
I am not really sure how to connect with fellow Okie's that use FLOSS.
But, the loco team, and all that is a bit disjointed.
I just joined the mailing list, as I thought this might be...
Hi,
You are NOT supposed to edit the system.jwmrc file.
You are supposed to create a .jwmrc file in your $HOME directory
I suggest trying out this program:...
See this bug for sound:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hw-detect/+bug/1296373
This is inherited from Debian.
There are some instructions there for how to fix it...
Please mark the bug...
I thought I heard a bump in the night... it was only this thread
Hi,
Adobe is in charge of Flash, and do not make a version for PowerPC Linux. You can install one of the alternative flash viewers like Gnash. In fact adobe does not make flash for Linux any...
Glad it worked (mostly). You could potentially put a swap partition on the usb drive, and have extra memory (make it aroung 512MB)... not terribly sure if the live environment will use it.
Are you...
Whew... that has very little memory. I am not entirely sure you can do a good live cd.
One option would be to run a live cd and install to a USB drive. Then you can boot the computer using that...
The 12.04 PPC Lubuntu is installing right now on my machine. It is working just fine.
Are you planning on using the Compact flash for the Hard drive?? That is something I have been wondering about...
You know I just thought of something really basic, but easy to overlook.
Did you download the PowerPC iso?
Because that is the ISO you will need with an iBook.
You may have done this, but...
Did you make sure to md5sum your iso?
That is a very important step to make sure everything was downloaded correctly.
If the md5sum isn't correct you can install zsync and zsync it to get the rest...
Are you using Lubuntu? Or a mini iso install? I had Debian on it earlier, but wanted to try out Lubuntu on it (I really like Lubuntu). But, for a minimal environment I suggest JWM (don't forget to...
Oh... good, sorry I forgot to mention the part about figuring out which one was your device.... I knew there had to be something I missed (it was a long post)
I think sound works fine in 12.04 :)
Oh, one more thing alsamixer does NOT work in 14.04 for me
Hi,
Live CDs do work without a harddrive. It may be easier to use a USB than a CD, though.
The first thing you need to do is check the md5sum of your iso file that you downloaded from the website....
hi, I have the exact same problem!
So do others. Please mark this bug effecting you

This is something I have also been very interested in finding out. My wife has iPhone, and it is not smart enough to recognize music without iTunes.
I think if you have a windows disc, it might be...
Any headway? I was given an iPhone to help test portability. I can get the iPhone recognized in Nautilus, then Rhythmbox, and add Music to the phone. Of course the phone scrambles and obfuscates...
Hi everyone. In art school we used a language called processing to do all kinds of neat things to images. I have recently started playing with Processing some more (processing.org) and have decided...
Yeah when you install the propreitary drivers through jockey (Additional Drivers) *after* installing b43 packages, it got my computer stuck saying I needed to run [CODE}sudo dpk --configure -a[/CODE]...
I would like to add something (I searched through about 11 pages and didn't find this answer, (man dpkg helped).
If for some reason you mistakenly install the driver from jockey *after* installing...
