    Thanks! I tried this with my WUSB600N adapter, and it worked. However, the built in wireless adapter for my HP G72 17.3" Notebook, w/ Ubuntu 11.04 and updated drivers directly from the realtek...

    I am absolutly certain. i did not instal the IA64, i specifically installed the AMD64 stuff directly from nvidia's unix page.

    Yes, i was trying to install the AMD 64 bit version. Im currently stuck with the nvidia install crapping out the X server (i downloaded directly from the nvidia site, got the build-essential header...

    Well...i guess 7.10 only booted 1nce (live cd, amd 64 bit)...
    But... 7.04 booted with soapy's info....Thanks Soapytheclown!

    Hi, i have a Compaq Presario v6000....and i only got Ubuntu 7.10 tribe 4 to boot once...*and only once*....tried the previous versions too...no dice. I dont even know what comination of flags got it...
