I don't think there is. Do you have Desktop Ubuntu installed? If so you could install virtualbox and then install the server version in a virtual machine. There are lots of howto's about for VB.

Are you doing this from inside your network - that is behind the router? If so, your external IP address won't work. You will need to use the local IP address which is usually in the rand...

If you want to customise your installation, perhaps you need to learn to use the command line. All options are still available there.

If you ran "sudo aptitude safe-upgrade", you won't have got all the kernel updates. You need to run "sudo aptitude full-upgrade". See man aptitude.

You need to install a Thunderbird extension called Provider for Google Calendar. In Thunderbird, click on Tools > Add Ones > Extensions > Get Extensions.
