[ubuntu] Re: Ubuntu GNOME Remix developer snapshot

Has anybody managed to get gnome shell to automatically lock the screen after x minutes? I have mine set to 5 minutes in the settings dialog but it will only lock if I do so manually.

    [gnome] Settings in Epiphany 3.5.4

I'm trying out the Ubuntu GNOME Alpha and so far so good. I'm giving Epiphany a go because the new fullscreen mode is just awesome for netbooks and it looks gorgeous. Just one problem.

    Please tell...

  5. Poll: Re: What you prefer when installing a new version of ubuntu?

I do a clean install once every 3 months or so for no good reason whatsoever.
  6. Who does the music for the Ubuntu promo videos?

[ubuntu] Re: Wallpaper scaling options vanished

Thanks, but that's not the issue. If I select the same wallpaper (say, the Ubuntu default) on both my desktop and netbook (identical PPAs and update channels) the netbook will show scaling options.

  10. Re: Are you ready to fork out $40 for windows 8

Nope. I can get Windows Server 2012 for free as a student (Look up Dreamspark if you're interested) but I see no reason whatsoever to upgrade. All I use Windows for nowadays is to play Skyrim, and...

    Re: Jocular July screenshots

The wallpaper is from the latest Android update which I downloaded from here. Being Android wallpapers they're not really the right resolution for PCs, but that particular one scales up nicely.

    Re: Jocular July screenshots

I installed the Unity Glass mod today and replaced the BFB icon and am pleased with how good it looks even with the square icons in the Faenza set. The BFB looks much more at home now.

    [SOLVED] Re: Calendar does what?

Sadly it provides nothing but a look at what day a certain date is at a glance. I hope Thunderbird gets some love and integration with it and the messaging menu in 12.10.

[ubuntu] Re: What version of Ubuntu is this?

That wallpaper wasn't in 7.04 (just dug out my old 7.04 livecd to take a look!) so it's most likely 7.10.
  20. Re: What do you want to see added or improved for Quantal Quetzal?
