    Re: Quickbooks finally on linux

I virtualise an xp machine using open-box to get quickbooks 2010 working on my linux machine. It really is a great system, glad they are opening it up to more platforms by going web based.

    Re: Photoshop alternative...except GIMP

Not trolling, its laughable that gimp crashes fairly frequently still, shows all kinds of errors when you run some of the filters, is slow as hell if you try and select stuff (which to be fair is...

    Re: Photoshop alternative...except GIMP

Yeah but photoshop has this cool feature where you press save and it saves the file. Crazy stuff, shame gimp could not compete on such an advanced function.

I have seen lots of devices destroyed from the static, there was also one of those science type programs (may have been braniac) or something that tested it out and said that the static was very very...

Re: Wetting unpowered electronics- is it safe?

What ever you do, DO NOT USE A HAIR DRYER...EVER! Best case scenario it will drive moisture into the components, worst case it will create massive amounts of static that will fry the boards. Very bad...

I find your response frankly laughable, you are quite happy to point out everyone is wrong then when you are asked reasonable questions you chose to ignore them, patronise by telling me to read...

This seems a little on the immature side of dealing with criticism, I have not made anything up and while I would be the first to admit (as I did in my last post) that I may sound a little peeved...

[ubuntu] Gimp 2.7.2 in Ubuntu 10.10 VERY slow

Hi all I am using Gimp 2.7.2 in Ubuntu 10.10 and it is painfully laggy to the point of unusable when running since the upgrade to 10.10.

It only happens sometimes, normally on big files, but I...

    Re: ubuntu vertex II

Don't understand why you would add religious software to this. There is already projects for that kind of version of Ubuntu. If this is a time saving thing then that seems unnecessary.

Poll: Re: Will you move your window buttons back?

It's the first thing that I change when I install Ubuntu. It's a real pain and utterly pointless.

  22. Re: Thinking of doing the unthinkable, making a fork

  24. Re: Thinking of doing the unthinkable, making a fork
