I keep getting this whether trying to install the updates in the update manager or trying to install apps from playdeb.net. Any ideas what I need to install or to edit so this can be bypassed?

It tells me I should create a swap partition as well. Do I really need that for the installation or can I just skip that?

I recently created a 60gb partition from one of my hard drives in windows but when i go to install ubuntu when i restart, it wants to install the various directories in multiple partition areas...

I have a fresh copy of Ubuntu 8.10 and I noticed openoffice is currently version 2.4. I ran this command:

sudo echo 'deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/openoffice-pkgs/ubuntu intrepid main' >>...

The only thing really keeping me from switching is the Adobe suite and gaming. I'm a heavy gamer and it does make it hard to completely switch to Ubuntu. Correct me if I'm wrong, but as it stands...

Is there a program for ubuntu similar to flashget by chance? I have backup files I put up on rapidshare and I need a program that allows me to download multiple files similar to what flashget does.

Ubuntu studio theme is what I use, which you can see below. My desktop has it stands now with other minor customization tweaks. :popcorn:
