    Just click on "Make a traditional Audio CD" , add your MP3 files and it will do the conversion for you as it writes to CD on the fly....

    I would go with installing Ubuntu on a 2nd Hdd or even a USB stick if the BIOS will allow booting from USB...

    That way you keep your W2k safe and you would still be able to access data thru Ubuntu
