    sticking with the 0.9.0 branch seems to fix the issue, haven't tested beyond ubuntu 12.04 though

    Hmmmm, the newest lirc seems to have broken xbox support, even after I fixed the patch for the new offsets the module work

    Wow I haven't visited this thread in a while, still pretty active. The latest 12.04.3 kernel, 3.2.0-53-generic-pae #81, broke the driver. Git pulled in the latest lirc source and its good to go...

    just did a fresh install of mythbuntu 11.10 and my steps in post 19 worked just as they are, did you forget to to into the drivers/lirc_xbox folder before you ran make?

    got it going, I just compiled the xbox driver rather than all of lirc


    sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.confadd 'blacklist xpad' without the quotes to the bottom of the file

    Building boxee from source

    My goal is to get the newest version boxee to build from source, hopefully creating a usefull dsc file for easy building.

    arg, 24 hours in this time and it hard locked. My computer sure doesn't like its cpu taxed %100 for long periods. 48 hours cpu time wasted so far...

    you think 12-18 hours is bad, I'm currently compiling HTS-demo_CMU-ARCTIC-ADAPT and it's INSTALL says it should take 2-3 days! I'll let you know how it goes, I'm on 10.10 btw
