    Some of the time this happens is cause I have it switched to my Hindi keyboard layout... but that one time, it did indeed simply refuse to recognize my legitimate password.

    Anyhow, you are not noticing undue/disruptive spin down with ext4? Cause the relase before Jaunty PM was so aggressive by default that it completely spun down the disk every 30secs or so to the point...
