Yep, I upgraded from 7.10 to 8.04.

Any idea why this isn't working?

I've followed the advice on the ubuntu website for upgrading, however it keeps telling me that my system is up to date...

The NVIDIA restricted ones.. things is, I am getting all the advanced COMPIZ effects in this mode, so everything appears to be working except for the awful Desktop effect.

Cheers - i've just tried reinstalling the nvidia drivers but that didn't have any effect...

Needless to say I've reconfigured X and that didn'y help.
