Re: Apache - Request Method - PHP

Why would a script want to check $_SERVER['REQUEST_METHOD'] == 'POST' before running if nothing has been submitted to it? Do you have to submit anything to a page to make it POST?

Apache - Request Method - PHP

I'm editing some PHP scripts and running them on Apache. The scripts check the server's Request Method before starting. It's been a long time since I've written any PHP and I know very little about...

    [ubuntu] Re: silverlight?

Microsoft have promised support for Silverlight on Linux. But just like Adobe and Flash is probably not high on their list of priorities - which is fair enough considering Linux's small user base.

Re: Anyone from Plymouth (UK)? - Plymouth LUG

The Devon and Cornwall LUG is still very much alive and if you live in Plymouth I recommend you join that as they do many events in and around Plymouth. There was little interest in setting up a...

Re: The Asus Eee 900 has landed (in the UK)

You need to look at it's size in comparison to the price. It's true you can get much better features and performance for a similar price but if you want something the same size you have to double...
  14. Re: Should people be getting so excited about this?

Ubuntu is released under the GPL license. Mark Shuttleworth doesn't have the right to restrict access to any part of it (I believe even the brand and logo are GPL'ed).

    Adobe could still do what...

Re: what TV software do you all use.

I found Kaffeine to be the easiest to setup and use for DVB-T. I've tried MythTV/Mythbuntu a couple of times now and it's waaaaaaaay to complicated and overloaded with features.

    I'm going to try...
  16. Should people be getting so excited about this?

Adobe Opens the FLV and SWF Formats

Everyone on Digg seems to think this means open source Flash. Is this the case as it doesn't look like it too me?

    Re: Everex mini gPC

Why doesn't anyone put optical audio out on these things! They would make ideal media PCs if they did. I still think I'll get a Mac Mini over these.
