I have the same problem. I have t410 laptop with nvidia 3100. And this thing happend with me after I install NVIDIA proprietary driver. Don't know how to fix this.
I have the same camera. It works in 9.04, but only once. After each usage you need to reboot to use the camera again. In karmic only microphone in camera is working. I have this in /var/log/messages...
The same problem... I don't like 9.10 at all! Everything is buggy :(

Use digital cable! DVI or HDMI! nVidia drivers detects all settings automaticaly i this case.

I've just put sources.lst from my IBEX to my HARDY and run sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get dist-upgrade. But I think, that it is not a true solution for this problem...

UPD: I fixed that! All i need - is to enable USB 2.0 in my old...
I tried to do this with vmware, but virtual winXP shows me a BSOD when i connect the iPhone to it :( How about vBox? Everything is ok with it?

Does anybody have any problems with in-game performance? It feels that FPS is about 50% lower than in windows version... I have a c2d e6750 CPU, 2gb ram and 8600GTS video card and new ubuntu 7.10
