ok...using w_scan with an -X option to generate a channels.conf file for Xine means that totem-xine now works with the card! Only problem is, the colours are inverted! Any ideas?

Hi
I've installed a new Hauppauge Nova T-500 and I'm having problems getting it to play back.
I can get w_scan to pick out all the channels (which I then send into the appropriate files in the...
Ok,,,reading around I had a hunch that it might be an add-in problem, so I uninstalled an ad-blocker add-in in firefox and classic fm is working again!
Hi,
I did a clean install of Ubuntu 8.10 64-bit a couple of weeks ago, and everything went swimmingly. Then I tried to listen to an internet radio station ("classic fm", at www.classicfm.com to...
FYI all set up using spec as above, except:
- didn't use a RAID array in the end
- just used a single iiyama 24" monitor rather than twin 19"
Started up first time, ubuntu 8.10 (64 bit) loaded...
Thanks, that's very reassuring! Just about to order my bits and pieces...!

Hi all
Having looked at the read-built PCs available, I've decided to take the plunge and build my own instead. I'm looking to build something as powerful as possible but fully compatible with...
Hi all
I'm sure there have already been posts in this vein, but it's probably the sort of subject that's worth revisiting every so often!
I'm looking to buy a new laptop - small and fast,...
Hi all
Good news and bad new with the gtkpod stuff. The approach I took was to add the http://spello.sscnet.ucla.edu/marillat sarge main repository and first load libmp4-0 and libmp4-dev through...
Said it was a dumb question - lucky I asked! Thanks Ephack!
Excellent guide - works well in Breezy too.
Quick (and probably dumb) question, though. Having installed the chroot environment, everything seems to be replicated in my chroot environment,...
Might be more practical to only sell 'em by the sheet rather than individually - then once I've kept some for my laptop and the laptops I'll buy over the next 10 years, I can use the rest to try to...
Not that I'm chicken, but any idea when the official deb is likely to appear in the repositories?
P.
I have to say that given the resources Ubuntu has, I've been amazed at how straightforward the install was - in particular the wireless card working out of the box (took me weeks to sort out under...
