    From me also a question:
    setup is as followed:
    sda1 -> Win7
    sdb1 -> GRUB
    sdb2 -> Ubuntu 9.04

    When I install grub on it's own partition on sdb, I can boot windows from it, but for Ubuntu I get...

    looks like a reinstall did it !
    I just selected everything I found for that kernel in synaptic en now it boots just fine.

    gives the same error as the last one, the kernel panic.

    Should I reinstall the new kernel maybe ?

    Just noticed that I could load the 2.28.11 kernel in the grub list, but not the 2.28.14
    This last one now gives following error:

    boot from (hd1,5) ext4 ....
    starting up ...

    When I type sudo vi /etc/fstab
    I get:
    /bin/sh: sudo: not found

    I must be doing something wrong, sorry for the dumbness ! :)

    I installed Ubuntu 9.04 in dual boot with Window$ 7. First boot was ok but after I installed all updates, the system froze...
