Excuse my ignorance. I went to the Avidemux download site and downloaded avidemux_2.1_svn-2_i386.deb.
Is this file the file described in the instructions. I thought the .deb meant it was already...
I will let the Avidemux install remove the Nvu-dev files and see what happens.
I'll keep you posted for the record.
