  1. [all variants] Re: HOW-TO: Connect Sixaxis to Ubuntu trough bluetooth mode

I did this (second) work around, commenting out part of the fdi.
It did the trick . . . sort of. THANKS!

I can now use both controllers. However, both are mapping to the same output. Not sure...
  2. [all variants] Re: HOW-TO: Connect Sixaxis to Ubuntu trough bluetooth mode

Yup, I just discovered that too (about the PS button acting as a mouse click).
Sorry for over-sharing, I just figured I would provide as much info as possible.
  3. [all variants] Re: HOW-TO: Connect Sixaxis to Ubuntu trough bluetooth mode

I am on a PS3. I thought I had the legacy driver enabled but I must have forgot to enable it after I removed the package and reinstalled it.

I'll try it out and let you know what happens!

  5. [all variants] Re: HOW-TO: Connect Sixaxis to Ubuntu trough bluetooth mode

Still a no-go on the bluetooth connection on my PS3 (using 1.0-RC).
This is what I get from my dmesg, hope it helps someone will the skillz to figure out what's wrong.

  6. [all variants] Re: HOW-TO: Connect Sixaxis to Ubuntu trough bluetooth mode

Thanks, figured it out before I saw this. Well, the good news is that with joystick installed it works with USB. I actually didn't have to use the program to use the sixaxis. I just used your...
  7. [all variants] Re: HOW-TO: Connect Sixaxis to Ubuntu trough bluetooth mode

How's this for weird: when I did the jstest command it said
    bash: jstest: command not found.

Maybe the xbuntu distribution that comes prepackaged (by Ubuntu) for the PS3 doesn't include it?

  8. [all variants] Re: HOW-TO: Connect Sixaxis to Ubuntu trough bluetooth mode

How did you get it to work with USB? What steps did you follow? I can't get mine to work even with the USB.
I get the device to show up but it doesn't do anything . . .
  9. [all variants] Re: HOW-TO: Connect Sixaxis to Ubuntu trough bluetooth mode

Did this. Not sure if it's a .60 bug or what but now the sixaxis controllers won't even connect to the system. They'll blink for a while (and show up in connected devices) but then go away. They...
  10. [all variants] Re: HOW-TO: Connect Sixaxis to Ubuntu trough bluetooth mode

I wasn't clear from your post, do I need to use the upgrade to get all the proper versions of stuff? This may be a dumb question but does dist-upgrade upgrade the OS or is it really just a thorough...
  11. [all variants] Re: HOW-TO: Connect Sixaxis to Ubuntu trough bluetooth mode

Tried that and then updated. Nope.
Then I tried to completely remove the package with Synaptic. Did that, restarted, then used the sudo command to install again. Still the same trouble. It shows...
  12. [all variants] Re: HOW-TO: Connect Sixaxis to Ubuntu trough bluetooth mode

Tried adding the deb code but got the no key error.
Updated in the terminal anyways and got this:

W: GPG error: http://ppa.launchpad.net jaunty Release: The following signatures couldn't be...
  13. [all variants] Re: HOW-TO: Connect Sixaxis to Ubuntu trough bluetooth mode

First off, sorry if I sound like a moron, I'm new to Ubuntu/Linux.
I've got a ps3 with Jaunty installed. Works great.
I've installed QtSixA 0.53 and it can recognize my two DS3 controllers.

    Two...
