Is there a way to figure out if it's me or Facebook? Some kind of diagnostic or something? Because this is annoying as heck.
That allows me to upload photos, but I can't set my profile picture--it won't let me set that, either, gives me an "unable to access upload.facebook.com" error, so there's now just a blank space...
No dice--and I don't think it's a network issue, as my roommates don't have this problem.
Sorry, I should have mentioned that I tried that. I get this error:
Is there a way to diagnose why I might be having trouble with the uploader? I posted a question here asking about the...
I would like to install the Sun Java 5 plugins, not version 6--I'm currently having trouble getting the Facebook uploader to work in Firefox 3.5.6 and I read a post on this forum where a user fixed...
They're already installed. :(
I thought I already had it installed.
What packages are the "sun java" package? Should I just install everything with "sun java" in it?
I'm running Ubuntu 9.10, using Firefox 3.5.6.
I installed the IcedTea plugin and found the Facebook uploader didn't work. I poked around the forums, the consensus seems to be IcedTea is a little...

Christmas gnomes?
Thank you all for your help--gunksta, do those outputs above look OK?

Er, what are those? Currently reformatting it to NTFS in Windows for the hell of it.
Alas, I've tried that already and it also does not detect the drive.
EDIT: Oh, I meant I tried to open the key in gparted and gparted didn't detect it, either.

Ran "dmesg | tail":
It's this guy, just out of the box and reformatted to FAT32 in Windows. I'll check out manually mounting it, but I really wanted to format it to ext3 or ext4 using gparted...
Yes, did that, it's still not being detected.
Sorry, forgot to mention it works fine on a Windows machine. Will edit that into the first post.
I've been searching the forums for this subject and haven't found a solution.
I have a four gig USB flash drive that a freshly-installed Ubuntu 9.10 won't detect. It's FAT32 formatted. fdisk...
Well, after a couple hours research and fiddling with the network, I found out that particular LAN cable just didn't work. Switched it out and now it's all good.
I feel dumb. Thanks for your...
I'm currently booting from a LiveCD and Ubuntu is not detecting my wired network--I try pinging the router and get "Network is unreachable." I know my router and connection is working--I'm using it...
I'm running Ubuntu 7.10, Gutsy Gibbon.
I was running Firefox when suddenly my entire computer froze. I ended up having to do a hard reboot, and as soon as it hit the loading screen--where the...
My computer overheated a few days ago. Since then, my speakers have been buzzing. Things are fine when the computer first boots up, but after about five or ten minutes the buzzing sets in. I'm...
I'm trying to install DC++, and I'm getting this message after running
