    Re: Stuttering Playback

I have the same problem using 8.04 32bit and virtualbox 1.6. My video memory configuration in virtualbox is set to 128MB and it still stutters even with compiz disabled.

Re: Mac OSX Lepord in Virtualbox

He did not ask if it was legal. He asked if it was possible/anyone has ever tried it.

It would be interesting to see if the hacked copy is able to run in a vm.

You may also want to look at...

Re: Mac OSX Lepord in Virtualbox

The default mac OS X install won't work as the mac hardware is not emulated for it to work. The hacked OS X image that installs on some pc's might work. I have no idea really.

Re: [IDEA] A better default bit torrent application

Although I would have preferred deluge over transmission, I'm still happy the default bt app is getting replaced with something better and we were able to bring about a little change to ubuntu.

Re: [IDEA] A better default bit torrent application

So far we have three main concerns about deluge.

    1. Stability - It seems pretty stable to me at least already but for arguments sake lets say this is number one on the list.

    2. Over...

Re: [IDEA] A better default bit torrent application

Perhaps if it were included, future versions of deluge could default to this "simple" interface and give the user the option to change to the advanced one if they prefer. Personally I think the...

Re: [IDEA] A better default bit torrent application

I'm not quite sure I agree with you here. Deluge has been very stable for me despite being a young project and seems to look very good inside gnome. As Turgon said I'm sure if it were to be included...
  10. Re: [IDEA] Recommend separate partition for /home during install (Guided)

    +1

I wish when I started out using ubuntu it had done this for me. It's a good practice and should be presented to a new user as such.

Re: [IDEA] Auto removal of old kernels

I'm all for a more elegant visual display of grub and at least a better way of cleaning up unused kernels. Something along the lines of "option booting" in OS X for grub would be a nice touch.
  14. Re: [IDEA] Use f-spot to import pictures from a camera.

I also don't use f-spot. I don't like the way it uses the bar to represent time to organize your photos. I prefer having a simple directory structure created to my liking to organize my photos.
  15. Re: [IDEA] Mouse, Trackball, & Touchpad tools by default

An all around more advanced control application for mice and touchpads would be good. Something that allows you to custom configure all available buttons and functions.

[IDEA] A better default bit torrent application

I think we can do better than the default gnome bit torrent application. My preference would be for deluge. What are our options?

    Re: Anyone else use Deluge?

Yeah it seems much nicer than any of the others I've tried. Maybe someday it will become the default gnome bit torrent application. It seems to integrate very nicely already.

I like this idea. lots of ideas get posted on the forums but sometimes they fall on deaf ears. A site where we know developers are taking note of would be a big plus in my opinion.

Re: Game Installations, Ubuntu Upgrades & You

I have a separate partition for /home and install all my games (native and wine) to that. That way when I upgrade I can format to do a clean install on / and keep all my junk.
