One note:
I installed ubuntu 8.04 on my new desktop machine at work with Nvidia 9600GT GPU! i was trying to install it as usual
1.download driver from nvidia.com
2.sudo apt-get install...
/etc/init.d/gdm stop
;)
i know how to stop gdm!i've installed new nvidia drivers...for now no problems...hope that this will solve issue.
if it fails i'll report!
