Nope. Still shows 54mb/s.
I ran the first command, then did sudo iwlist wlan0 scan, and got this:
Bit Rates:300 Mb/sNetwork Manager continues to show that speed is 54 Mb/s.
Done all that just now, and in -23, my wireless adapter still works! Thanks a lot for your patience and help!

I don't think that's the problem... people are reporting the same bug for computers with ATI or S3 video cards. This appear to be affecting primarily AMD processors, but also a few Intel processors....
