[ubuntu] KVM with aliased IPs in a bond:

I have come to the conclusion that you can not bridge an aliased IP, if I'm wrong I'd love to see a decently documented article/manual on how to make that happen on 10.04 or otherwise. : )
  2. [ubuntu] Re: No command prompt after login on Server 10.04

Not sure if this is a help at all, but I recently did a minimal install and found that the landscape-client and landscape-common packages were not included.

Perhaps that might be a more preferred...

[SOLVED] Re: Installing 10.04 sans Internet possible?

So this is what I did.

Step 1: Created my bootable USB drive with Pen Drive Linux's Universal USB Installer.

Step 2: Copied the ~700 MB iso to the same USB stick.

Step 3: Booted from the USB...

[SOLVED] Re: Installing 10.04 sans Internet possible?

I need the full DVD to install a server OS?

That seems like a bit overkill for what I want to do.

Re: Desktop background and cursor only.

Excellent link. I had fallen to making a launcher on my desktop by right clicking and pointing it at the NBR: /usr/bin/netbook-launcher

...I successfully installed the debian package, and still do...

    Poll: Re: Master Kernel Thread

I recently built my own 2.6.27.5 kernel, and immediately went to building a .7 patched kernel.

On the dpkg -i step you will have issues with the .5 kernel installed, with one of the /lib/fw files...

    [ubuntu] Re: make-kpkg clean Xen?

What would you do if you wanted Xen support though?

This is a good work around, but it doesn't seem like it would work in the case that a user was attempting a custom kernel for a xen system/host?

[ubuntu] Re: Big Desktop Reverts to Clone on Restart

It's already correct when the machine restarts though.

It's only after I type in my username/password and it loads the desktop that it reverts to a clone display.

So I go back to my...

[ubuntu] Big Desktop Reverts to Clone on Restart

As the title states, everytime I restart my PC, it brings me to the login screen in big desktop mode, and when I login it puts my settings back to clone.

I wasn't able to catch it if it was already said but,

Is this kernel running at 100hz or 1000hz by default?

    Thanks.
