[ubuntu] Re: Change default media player?

But (provided you uninstalled Banshee), which one is default? All I did on my machine is to install Clementine, uninstall Banshee, then reboot.

[ubuntu] Re: Acrobat Reader for 11.10???? Need one!!!!!

One of reasons might be to test created PDF files, especially if they're intended for press, to make sure everything is OK. For this task, unfortunately, there is no reliable alternative to Adobe...

[ubuntu] Re: Change default media player?

Apart from setting Clementine default player, did you try the old method: right click on an .mp3 file > Properties > Open With, and set Clementine there?

Another way might be to uninstall Banshee.

    Re: Ubuntu 11.10 : A serious setback

    Re: Ubuntu 11.10 : A serious setback

Try middle-click on "Home folder" icon (hint: "Ubuntu Desktop Guide", section "Tips & Tricks" > "Middle-click").

And as a bonus, try right click > "Quit" on "Home folder" icon to close all opened...

It's not Ubuntu's fault Gnome is changing. I personally find Unity more usable than pure Gnome 3. And going with Debian just because of day-night thingy wouldn't solve anything since next Debian will...

[all variants] Re: Play a minute or less of a song

A non-GUI solution would be the following:

Another potential solution would be Audacious with song change plugin, but I have no...

Thanks for the idea. However, I still haven't been able to make this working. Just to avoid misunderstanding, what I want to do is the following:

[all variants] Play a minute or less of a song

    Hi.

I'm sure I've seen in a player the option to play only first minute of songs in a playlist, but cannot remember which one that was. Any ideas?
