    I believe adobe flashed has been renamed in Precise Pangolin. So you need to install:


    sudo apt-get install adobe-flashplugin


    instead of the usual


    sudo apt-get install...

    Its actually coz of the flash package being renamed. Run:


    sudo apt-get install adobe-flashplugin

    This should solve your problems. Hal is deprecated and is not used anymore as far as I know.

    I solved the problem used Compiz Check.. I ran it and it said my graphics thing is blacklisted. I selected ignore blacklist and now its running as smooth as ever. Thanks a lot.:)

    I do not have any seperate graphic card. Only the onboard intel graphics. Compiz used to run fine earlier n even now it works perfectly after reload. Its just a nuisance.

    All of u who have installed Grub on ext4, are u having any problems?? Coz i read grub is not supported.

    And what about the partition getting corrupted if there is a crash or if u try to resize it....

    N does grub work on ext4?? Tat is the only reason i am sticking to ext3 now.. I dont have a seperate boot partition.

    Bro dont just keep sayin install grub-common. Grub-common was already installed so i removed and installed it again and still it gives me the same thing.
