You have the right to judge as you will. It's your job.

But no, these sites are not political. Everything can be considered political since they're inserted in society. But a fair mind will...

  6. [ubuntu] Re: Two different styles in the gnome-terminals

    Well, it was a guess.
You could examine your home folder and its hidden directories and files. Like my .nautilus folder is empty so if there's something on yours that may mean something. Also check...
  7. [ubuntu] Re: Two different styles in the gnome-terminals

Maybe nautilus has its own config settings for terminals. If you find them then you may be able to edit them as you did with .bashrc.

[ubuntu] Re: Disks doubling in 'Places'

I'm not in Ubuntu now but you could look at /etc/mtab and compare with /etc/fstab. Maybe Ubuntu is mounting the same partition twice in different places, one in mtab and one in fstab. Then perhaps...

Re: Linux LG washing machine design by my wife

The post in the Brazilian forum was deleted (off-topic :) , they didn't have a community cafe section there, but managed to gather a few votes, I think).

C'mon, let's keep voting for the Linux...

  13. [ubuntu] Re: 9.10 impossible to see anything on the scree for one user

The guy I asked said it's ok. So you could log to your main user account (the one with problems) by selecting xterm in the session box and do the command

    rm -r .*

    That will clear all the...
  14. [ubuntu] Re: 9.10 impossible to see anything on the scree for one user

To remove all your settings you could login to session xterm then navigate to your home folder (I guess you'll already be there) and do a

    rm -r .*
Which would delete all your hidden directories...
  15. [SOLVED] Re: Newbie: How to cleanup partially installed packages?

    Re: incomprehensible installation guide

In the USB stick you have Ubuntu compressed, which is the size of the iso. It's decompressed at boot time.
To install it it would have to be decompressed. It's recommended, I think, at least 6GB of...
  21. [ubuntu] Re: 9.10 impossible to see anything on the scree for one user
