Try this -
vim /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf
greeter-hide-users=true
This should allow you to enter the username instead of selecting from a list. Hope this works! :D
Do you have discrete graphics card (Nvidia, ATI and such) installed in your system? I am asking because you mention a DRM error and you get a login prompt! It looks suspiciously like a display driver...
Oh I forgot- Tux Racer. :)
I do not know if you would have interest in this simple game though! :)
Or ... you can just encrypt the home directory during the installation. Although, encrypting /home would be more convenient.
Good luck with that! For some wine works really well! :)
Will killing dolphin using process id not be an acceptable solution?
Of course, if you kill, all open windows will be killed - regardless of whether the said windows are in relation to the script...
I have played Nexuiz once. I am not that big on games, but I liked it a lot! I know it worked for me on Fedora - should not be a problem on Ubuntu either, I guess.
Thanks CharlesA - Guess I should not have been so lazy!
feralchild, I suggest you look in to Wine! You should be able to install it from Software Center.... may be.
Oh well! If that's the case, it's going to convoluted!

Please provide the output of

This information might be good to get started.
Did you just install from the repositories or did you have to do something more? I had been meaning to try enlightenment - 13.04 would probably be a good start for me! :)
You can try this - I do not know if this will work though. After you have the disk in, try
sudo nautilus /media/{mount point}

My one day experience of Xubuntu 13.04 has also been very positive! After test drives in VMs, I finally did a bare metal installation last night. So far so good! :)
That usually indicates you do not have enough permissions. Are you trying to install the game? If it is safe, you can use sudo to change the permissions and execute the game (assuming it works well...
Just for your information - you can set up apt-get sources for Oracle Virtualbox instead of using *deb files. Updating becomes a lot easier! :)
Perhaps this? - http://sourceforge.net/projects/sqlitebrowser/
The last commit to this project was in April 2012 - so I would say not too bad. You could give it a whirl ...
I would suggest trying the same thing with Firefox in safe mode.
Help --> Restart with Add-ons disabled.
This will aid in narrowing down the list potential factors.
If you want to run Windows inside Ubuntu, try Virtualbox or VMware. This solution might be more convenient.
In my experience, Virtualbox works very well and should be painless to set everything...
I am certainly not an expert here but here is a suggestion.
Start the live system and launch ubiquity from a terminal and see if it still has the problem. Of course, you can test it with the...
I agree!
Although, I use linux completely now, I never had any problems with Windows 7 when I was using it. It was pretty smooth. I had fairly good hardware always though.
Try the thread tools option on the right side just below the thread title.
I would recommend using Xubuntu. If you install XFCE, then spend a little bit of time to configure your system so that it does not load too many programs at startup that might have been left over...
When you logout/shutdown next time, uncheck the option that says "Save Session" in the pop-up that appears. This will ensure that the session is not saved and none of the programs will auto-restart....
I have switched hard drives with ubuntu installed between different hardware in the past. Generally works well. If you have a USB slot, try liveusb.
