Yes - i'd prefer grub on it's own partition, so it's OS independent :)

i think the reason windows 7 has no XP entry is because i upgraded to 7077, then downgraded (custom install) to 7068 again.

Ive just installed windows 7 build 7068 (actually i upgraded to 7077 from 7068, but spotify didnt work so i downgraded back to 7068 again), and obviously ive lost GRUB to the MBR...

The main reason i want to get rid is ubuntu is slightly buggered on current install, but i know a reinstall will totally stop the wireless working :(

If i was to have ubuntu, it'd be a full environment, methinks. OEM ships with default ubuntu, which i'd rather have.

Hi i have bought a Toshiba NB100 with XP.
After having some problems booting liveUSB (it has no CD Drive), i finally have ubuntu installed.

However, i dont know how to get the wireless card...

Sorted.

Reformatted the USB stick as a primary partition instead of an extended partition. (?).

Rebooted, works perfectly.

Marked as solved.
