The Ubuntu devs don't really come on this forum (for whatever reason...I think thats a mistake personally but I guess they don't have the time. I understand there's "forum ambassadors" and such so...
Its not Linux in general that does that, just Ubuntu
I'm running Sidux at the moment, and its bleeding edge, you can upgrade everything whenever you want (or not, if you don't want)

Very true. It makes Linux sound a lot more legitimate and a lot less geeky when you say "dell sell computers with Linux on now"
I just hope Dell's little test run is successful...It'd be...
Good idea.
In fact, I think it might even warrant its own forum sub section...hmm...maybe not. But still, we could/should have a big announcement or something on the front page saying "If you're a...
I don't see why you should go back to feisty forever...dapper is an LTS and believe it or not, is actually the most used version of Ubuntu. Its still perfectly reasonable and perfectly normal to...

AndyCooll, same here. Initially I didn't even understand let alone care about open source...but now its important to me...I discovered a lot about it. For one,...
In terms of "office databases" (Microsoft Access) Kexi is easily on par...from what I've heard. I don't use databases much/at all outside of school, so correct me if I'm wrong.

What I wanna know though is whats responsible for the awful fonts in sidux, and the nice ones in kubuntu...and kdemod for that matter. Is it some sort of package, library,...
I've been trying Sidux for the last couple of days...I never thought ubuntu was bloated before but after using sidux, it definitely feels it!
The problem is...I don't think I'd use sidux as a...
Look forward to the Kubuntu theme :D

Have you tried using the GIMP? Its pretty much as good as Photoshop...just harder to use. You can do most everything Photoshop can do in the GIMP, but it may involve a few more steps, unfortunately....

Lets say you have an app open, and want to open the "file" menu, you move your mouse upwards and left, and you click your left mouse button. (do this very quickly, only move up and left, don't move...
