Which Terminal do you use? Is it GNOME shell? XFCE4 terminal? Konsole? Lxterminal? Mate?
You can type it in your terminal, by copy & paste it. However, I don't really understand what you're saying, what do you mean by hole?
Just type the code given by Lars Nooden with/without export to try -
PS1='\[\e[0;31m\]\u\[\e[m\] \[\e[1;34m\]\w\[\e[m\] \[\e[0;31m\]\$ \[\e[m\]\[\e[0;32m\]'

Hi,
Just wanna add -
You can use C + GTK+2 (I don't like GTK+ 3, visually slower), C++ + Qt4/Qt5 or C++ with GTKmm, Python with either Gtk2 or Gi (GTK+3), PyQt4/PyQt5 (pyqt4 available for...

Want to find softwares from terminal?
Type -
apt-cache search randomWords
Found a lot of new things with it.
Personally, I think it's better with C -
#include <stdio.h>
int main(int argc, char *argv[])
{
puts("Hello, world!"); // or printf("Hello, world!\n");
return 0;
I don't think Ubuntu SDK currently support one click .deb packaging right now. Anyway, it's good if you dealing with Qt application development.
My suggestion is to use Geany editor instead of IDLE. It's far better and you can tweak to use alternative interpreter (v2 or v3) to launch the scripts. The editor can also compile, build & run...

Ah, seems the community side going to lose, but will never give up though. I just don't want to reply for 5 hours, since 1 community member vs 2 mods only will make it negative.
