I was affected by this bug too, to fix it try to reinstall the libswt-gtk-3.5 packages.
The same bug has been fixed in Debian (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=569910), I think we...
quite strange, I didn't get that error message anymore on 32 bit lucid after adding those two lines to limits.conf.
If you didn't enable realtime process priority when you installed jackd maybe...
27 seconds on my athlon xp 1700+
I'm affected too ('ve got an athlon xp without sse2).
it seems that the problem is not fixed: http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=9007

there was a bug like this in hardy a year ago: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/188361

I've moved a symbolic link to my pictures folder to trash, and after emptying trash all the files inside the pictures folder has been deleted.
I'm running alpha 3, does this happen on a fully...
probably it is faster due to the switch from XAA to EXA:

I'm having the same problem with arrow keys...as a workaround I use the arrow keys on numeric keypad
I've had the same problem too, I couldn't connect to the internet with my wired connection and change settings from network manager, I've solved it by manually deleting my old static ip configuration...
the latest updates fix the problem for me
I've more or less isolated the problem... it looks like /usr/lib/gnome-settings-daemon/gnome-settings-daemon is loaded correctly on startup, but then it terminates (that process is not active after...
I've upgraded from hardy and I've got a similar problem, custom settings for gnome (like theme, mouse speed, keyboard shortcuts) are not loaded on startup until I open preference dialogs like...
