  1. [ubuntu] Re: Natty: Adding KDE 4.6 Plasma Session To Unbuntu

If you're running Ubuntu 11.04, that would certainly install Kubuntu 11.04 to your system.

Then to upgrade KDE to 4.6.3 you would add the Kubuntu PPA to your Software Sources:

    +1 for PCLinuxOS

For quite a while now I knew that I'd be dropping Gnome with the advent of Gnome Shell (and now Unity) so I began test-driving some KDE distros.

[SOLVED] Re: install rpm in fedora 14

Try the appropriate version of simple-ccsm for your distribution. Where did you find the RPM file simple-ccsm-0.7.8-1.fc10.noarch.rpm anyway? That's clearly written for Fedora 10 and won't install on...

[SOLVED] Re: install rpm in fedora 14

    Hi,

I'm thinking that simple-ccsm-0.7.8-1 is a very old version.

    Type in a terminal:

rpm -q --provides python | grep abi

I'd guess that you're running a newer version of python than 2.5...

[ubuntu] Re: Triple Boot Help Needed [ URGENT]

I'm no expert at this but......

Ubuntu (Grub) has rewritten the master boot record. Running EasyBCD from Windows (again) should give you the results that you want by again rewriting the MBR.

  20. [ubuntu] Re: Switching workspaces in Sauerbraten (and others)

Not really familiar with the game but, as with any app running full-screen, I would think that you'd have to (at least temporarily) reduce it to windowed mode to switch desktops.
