    Doesn't your college have an agreement with Microsoft for licenses (MSDNAA)? That's how I get all of my MS products. Pretty neat, actually.

    I honestly miss that kind of eye candy in Linux. Boot splashes are just hideous and all they do is filling a progress bar.

    I've had more trouble upgrading versions of Ubuntu than I have had in my entire Arch experience.

    Well, there are bots that crawl the web trying the default ssh ports with the usual logins (user, root, admin, etc) and brute force them, so it's best to change your port and have a f*cked up...

    Do you know about PlasmaNotify? Apparently it integrates Firefox's notifications with plasma, but I haven't tried it yet.
