    And for creating the user in order for it to work I had to create a group first, and I used these two lines instead of the three lines

    sudo groupadd jboss
    sudo useradd -s /bin/bash -d /home/jboss...

    Also, for desired results I'm using a minus sign in

    JBOSS_HOST=${JBOSS_HOST:-"0.0.0.0"}

    Has to be plural instead of singular:

    sudo update-rc.d jboss defaults
