    I suspect that's because your kernel doesn't have rt5390 support in it. If you wish to still use ubuntu 10.04.. I'd recommend you create a custom Live CD. Ubuntu has a help page on how to go about...

    I've had that problem with aptitude before as well; I tend to stick with apt-get and it generally works just fine.

    The boot GUI worked fine for me, I selected sda to install grub in--and it took care of all the work.

    I'm still puzzled as to why the actual distro installation didn't properly do this though?
