I have exactly the same problem than you, no more updates since two weeks ago. Before I had nearly one update each day, and now nothing ...

So as the title says, I have always the same recurrent problem in chromium.
On default there's no search engine, so the url bar isn't a search bar, and it's useless, I have to go to google.com each...

Same problem here, disabling Nepomuk solved everything, my desktop is now as snappy as it used to.

I think it may be a kde bug.

I have exactly the same problem here on kubuntu 10.04, and the size is of 0 bits even if it's configured to go up to 5 Go.

So I was just reading my /boot/grub/menu.lst, and I've noticed that I have two different loaders. I past you all the file

For my part everything is resolved, I've runned the recovery cd of Vista which enabled me to boot with Vista, and I used the terminal of the Heron livecd to reinstall the grub, so now I can access...

I've used testdisk following a thread about the grub, and I'e rewrited the MBR so now I think I don't have grub anymore so...

Yeah I did it, and when I put the cd in the drive during my Ubuntu session, an error window tells me there's a problem of mounting the device, something like that.

I've burned the livecd, but the computer doesn't boot on it ant takes me to the grub once more ....

So I've reinstalled Heron yesterday, and I had already Gutsy so I've formated the partitions with Gutsy, I resized some things (Win for instance), and I reinstalled Heron on newly created partitions....

When I say it runs too fast, I mean that the cd drive keeps humming very loudly while reading the data, and this during all the track.

I'll try the solution you advise, hoping it will solve my...
