It's about how the kernel parameters are configured. Just because a distro is light on resources like memory and CPU doesn't mean those parameters are set. There are distros that implement power...
Check it out - the ultimate zshrc
I switched to zsh as well after installing grml, and I just cheat now, i.e. copy paste their zshrc to my user and root home directory. I've come to terms with like...
It's a built in panel of the scrotwm window manager. You can set the panel font in any color you like. There are lighter panels than Gnome's, tint2 being one of the best, though they lack certain...
minimal kernel with some wireless and wired drivers, the installer itself, and a network config utility. apt and gang are downloaded and set up after selecting the mirror.

No, it's a kernel thing. Install Fuduntu, or just the Jupiter applet. I recommend both highly.
This is just to prove I did a sucessful install, before I decide to nuke the partition.

Why not, it fits right inbetween the commercial estimate of one percent and the optimistic ones of ten percent or more.

Because logos look horrible on the Gnome Shell bar. Debian has the fugly spaceship wallpaper to go with Shell since yesterday, when it hit the Sid repos.

Yah, apparently it's cross platform (I guess dwm is acting up on Win). Dunno how that can be remedied, you don't downgrade Explorer, maybe pull in an older version of the driver?
make oldconfig
Guess you weren't here in April. The two or three rage quit threads are nothing compared to the Natty indignation.

Better than the fully transparent thing.
One from me, same old.

When did you grow a beard and horns?
for lolz, why else.
If something like this happens the next time around, run
unity --reset
Which will get all the Unity values back to original. This takes a little while, so be patient if you have to do it....
To quote a fellow from another forum, reddit is 4chan without the child pornography.
If you're gonna be using radeon, you might want to try and update your mesa and X and the driver itself via xorg-edgers or x-swat. Ubuntu's version of X is lagging behind (though fglrx doesn't work...
