[ubuntu] Re: Firefox middle-click behaves inconsistently

Type about:config in the address bar of FF and hit Enter. Filter for the word 'middle' and see if browser.tabs.opentabfor.middleclick is set to true like mine. Maybe play with some other settings...

[ubuntu] Re: apt-get Couldn't find package vsftpd

Try adding "nameserver <ip of router>" (without quotes) to /etc/resolv.conf.
    (sudo nano /etc/resolv.conf)

    Ctrl-c to stop pinging.

If you plan on hosting a FTP site, I'd suggest a static IP...

[ubuntu] Re: apt-get Couldn't find package vsftpd

Make sure /etc/resolv.conf has the same DNS servers listed as the 2k3 box.

You can use ping to see if names are being resolved. Try 'ping ubuntuforums.org' and see if it resolves the address.

Poll: Re: If wireless if your only connection... why?

Most residential isp's (in my area at least) provide a modem/wireless-router combo and a 'do-it-yourself' free install (with fold-out instructions/poster). These modem/routers have the ssid and wep...

Re: Help Beta test GOODBYEROBOTARMY Beta 2

    Interesting concept.

I also enjoyed the in-game humor, LMAOnade, damage happens, etc.

Kudos on the progress, having only 2 devs.

    I like AMD too.

Tomshardware.com has a comparison table that you can use for video benchmarks:

    Re: Creating an Xfire shortcut?

I'm not familiar with XFire in linux/wine, but some apps require being run from the program directory. Also, I'm pretty sure the XFire executable will be in it's own directory, not in Program Files....

    Re: Bill Roper , Hellgate:London

    1. They're a startup, they don't have the resources for a Linux version (even though I've been pushing for one on their alpha/beta forums). Plus they were probably 'helped' by M$ for using DX...

Re: Elder Scrolls: Arena in FreeDOS

I've never used it, but from what I can gather it's kinda like Synaptics for games. Or rather, for certain games that Loki (and the Loki devs after the fall) have worked on. It supposedly makes...
