I have sound issues with communications coming through the headset and a few sounds during the movies and "Scary" momemnts. I dont hear any music though either, sounds work fine otherwise. Thanks!

Doing this fixed it, it's the Compiz PPA that breaks it for me. After following your steps I have no problems.
