yes all 3 ppa's enabled
gnome3-team/gnome3, gnome3-team/gnome3-staging and ricotz/testing
still no sushi :-)
was just trying out the ricotz/staging ppa with a fresh and saucy install aka 13.10 :-)
after adding the ppa and update and upgrade got this !
The following packages will be REMOVED: ...
Actually its not just Proprietary Nvidia and AMD drivers are causing this known bug i have the same on my install which is intel graphics,

For any one who are still having problems with software-properties-gtk crashing
you can check this to see if the release got updated. sometimes it doesn't ;-)
gksudo gedit /etc/lsb-releaseThen...
The latest update systemd (198-0ubuntu12~raring4) in the gnone3 staging ppa has fixed the Power-Off issue :-)
maybe better to revert the changes till the "SS" cycle begins? Maybe in the ricotz/testing ppa perhaps.
well the latest systemd from the gnome3 staging ppa doesn't solve the poweroff issue.
Can confirm network-manager 0.9.8.0-0ubuntu7+logind~raring2 fixed the icon issue. Power Off from the G-S menu still crashes the shell theming and doesn't shut-down.
Power Off works though via cli....
There was also an update for libpam-systemd just a few minutes ago none of which resolved the power-off issue or the netwerk icon !
Edit: using power-off seems to crash G-S making the themes (...
was just in the same situation 2 reboots from a terminal and the shutdown menu is working again.
logged into tty2 and stopped and restarted gdm and the network icon is there again.
edit: on...
hmmm i just tested this opening 5 times nautilus and closing them and also running nautilus as root 5 times and then again as usr and no issues at all!
i am running 64 bit :P
little trick change the name in the ppa from raring to quantal till its available ;-)
It does seem to be the case crashes and stall on my 64 bit setup but works just fine on my 32 bit ! go figure :-)
could you share your patched eglibc so i can have a look and test :-)
cheers :-)
i would really like the choice of desktop when installing ubuntu :-)
unity or gnome-shell etc!!
there is also a nice app that will back your messages to your gmail and then restore them later :-)
...
best todo do a full upgrade
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get install gnome-shell
if you get a problem open up gnome-classic and do it agin from there !
I've been using remsterys latest build it wks great too :-)
well other than a few minor gliches everything so far has been very stable :-)
seems that the only thing still not wking in gnome-tweak is the usr-theme extension!
i will play some more and see if i can get it wking :-)
