see if you can get your sound working after

well, I had similar issues with mathematica 6.0.2 and 6.0.3 when i updated to intrepid...
i am now using mathematica 7 and it works great.

what exactly do you want to do?
do you want to put the eps file on a latex document?

why didn't you just install kile and tetex from the repos?

i have a MSI barebone PC, when i mailed them to ask for support they told me to install windows.

no, i never installed gnormalize, or anything like it.
i could only use gnomebaker/k3b/cdrecord successfully when i had my automounting off.

well, i haven't found a solution, but there is a workaround: brasero.
works great, though it doesn't have all the k3b features.

you should check Transmission out.

actually, when i installed dapper from the install cd, grub was installed automatically to the mbr, it didn't ask me if i wanted to overwrite my mbr...

well, i think that midi playback should work out of the box. it shouldn't be that hard.
there's also that cdrecord madness with SATA drives, but i guess that's a cdrecord thing and not a ubuntu...

another update:
it turns out that the only reason i was able to burn ths ISO with nero linux was that the cd automount was disabled.
i followed this thread to enable it again, and now i can't...

just tried nero linux and apparently it's working fine. burned an ISO with no problems at all...
so, i'm gessing the problem is only with cdrecord...

well, looks like i spoke too soon. tried to burn an iso with k3b and got the following:

actually i wasn't running as sudo, but i did try as sudo and got a similar output...
i just find it strange because with nautilus i can burn ISOs and data cds just fine......
