I have the same problem but gnome-do is not installed!
If I give the keyring manager my password then everything functions normally...
otherwise, compiz/X doesn't work properly!

FYI, you don't need to do any compiling anymore, you just need to open skype with:

I'm trying to install 9.10 from a cdrom...

No matter which option I choose though the machine freezes.
