    [xubuntu] Re: xfce default menu

    Tell me more :)

I am using Gigolo, but find it less convenient than the "connect to server" Nautilus...

In Nautilus, once you know the IP, it does the rest (especially to browse WinXP boxes)......
  6. [ubuntu] Re: latest kernel 2.6.31-15 boots me to a command prompt

I have almost the same problem: In my case, when booting 2.6.31.15, the boot process starts to flicker, and just hangs there...

Of course I am happily using 2.6.31.14 right now, and everything...

    [ubuntu] Re: Freeze in Jaunty

It took me a while, but I now discovered the reason for freezing in my main desktop:

    Re: anyone using lxde?

LXDE is nice, but I recommend Fluxbox for an older laptop... As a matter of fact, I am using LXDE tools in Fluxbox, such as PCmanFM as a file manager...

As of myself, I enjoy Fluxbox with Nautilus...

    [ubuntu] Re: Freeze in Jaunty

What you describe seems to be a ram problem. Grab a live-cd (Ubuntu, for instance), and run Memtest "to the end"... If you have a bunch of "red message error", go to your local computer store, and...

  15. Re: dansguardian default list: mimetype and extention

    Sounds good... Thanks David !
  16. Re: dansguardian default list: mimetype and extention

David, I am finding myself in a awkward position: if I don't "stop" Dansguardian, I can't log into my kids PC from mine thru ssh (you know, the "connect to server" button in Nautilus)...

    I wish I...

  18. Re: I just installed UCE but where is everything?

Ok, guys.. I found it... But I won't use it, as I really dislike the Jaunty Human GDM... I am using the "gnome color" (Arc-Brave) GDM, very nice, very smooth... Anyway, good job !

  22. Re: Ubuntu CE Jaunty 64 bit: repository available
