click 'New'
choose your effect and duration
use this string (type=Normal | Dialog | ModalDialog | Unknown) in the Window Match dialog
Save and Exit

In the Advanced Desktop Effect Settings manager activate the 'Animations' plug-in and edit your minimize effect there.
what i find most interesting is the number of people who customize Gnome to look like OS X. heres an idea for eye candy - make it look unique and uniform but _not_ like OS X or Vista.

Nevermind. It took me reading my own post to realize the error.
When I do:
michael@ubuntu:~$ sudo ntfsmount /dev/hda1 /media/hda1 -o umask=0007
I get:
fusermount: failed to access mountpoint /media/hda1: No such file or directory
fuse_mount failed....
I wasn't quite able to get my Windows (C:) drive to mount. I'll post my fstab and the error later.
