Go to Removable Drives configuration from the Settings menu. Disable the automount and autoBrowse options. Hope this works. Good luck!!

Hi I had the same problem. In gnome-ppp, check "enable stupid mode" option. Also edit the init strings so that init3=at+crm=1
Now click connect. that should be it!
