0. Make sure you installed the important packages like:
1. Open a terminal
2. go to the folder where you extracted...
wifi works really well,when you install the compat-wireless-2.6
It includes the newest Ath9k driver and solves many connection problems.. Don't know why Karmic doesn't include the "newest" driver..

There was a Kernel-Update.. and like everytime..
New Kernel = New Source
Because of this, you need to recompile the drivers..(But to tell the truth, I don't know why you need to recompile at new...
1. Then wait for Ubuntu 9.10
2. Read the instruction again, you made it wrong..

I am using an extern wlan-stick works wonderful.
But I hope in some years,months,days there will be a better driver.
