I have recently tried starting up msfconsole in Backtrack, and I was presented with this message:
Could not find rake-10.0.4 in any of the sources
Run 'bundle install' to install missing gems....
Thanks for the reply, but unfortunatly at this point in time I cannot install Kali.
I recently installed Backtrack 5r3 on my Dell Latitude D600, and I need to get my wireless working. From a previous thread I posted, I tried installing the firmware-b43-installer using apt-get...
Hello,
I recently installed Linux Mint alongside Windows 7 (with Windows 7 being the primary OS), and Linux Mint won't mount the Hard Disk from the Windows 7 OS. I can use the partition (or...
How can I make a file in Xubuntu (or any ubuntu) indelible, or at least unreadable (if not undeleteable)? And is there a way to make this extend to Windows? I tried running the 'sudo chattr +i...
I just ran that and rebooted the comp, and after a good 10 min, it disconnected from the internet again. My wifi says I'm getting about 2-3 bars out of 4, and it's running at 54mb/s.
Anybody have any idea what's wrong? Could it just be that my laptop is in that category of "Not-That-Supported"?
Uhp, no nevermind. I lied. It didn't work at all. It still is being it's usual, frustrating self.
Also, i tried the "iwconfig wlan0 rate 48M" [bellaseem] (that's what I set it to), and it seemed to work, but it's hard to tell for sure.
(praseodym) I ran it again, and again I got the same thing as last time.
Should I try modifying it through iwconfig or ifconfig (somehow)?
I put that in and I got this:

I reset the BIOS on mine (mine required me to press Alt-F), but it still disconnects. Also, if it helps any, this was the thread that help me set up my Wifi:

Oddly enough, there doesn't seem to be a "Reset" option in my BIOS. Is there another way to do it?
There is a thing saying that the Wifi in Enabled, and that it can be disabled by "Fn+F2" key.
Default for wireless, or for everything in the BIOS?

Apparently not. It seems it's just one of those things with a very long and involving process. More companies need to recognize Linux as an OS and start supporting it more (it's very frustrating...
I downloaded the package, but it still does it!

I have a Logitech webcam that I got from somebody (there is o model number on it), and I want to be able to use it on Xubuntu 12.04, but I don't really know what to do to get it working? I'm not to...
No, I don't. It's not precisely 40 sec, but it ranges around that. Sometimes it stops disconnecting for a while, then goes on another disconnecting spree.
About the "linux-firmware-nonfree" thing,...
The connection is mostly just about 54 mb/s, which I think the max for the card.
I'll try reseating it like you said and see if that works.
