    I use a Logitech M570 Wireless Trackball and a (generic) drawing tablet, both work very well.
    Android is based on linux so it should work in Ubuntu as well.

    Yes it's to do with font DPI you can find it under Settings > Application Appearance > Fonts > tick the check box 'force fonts DPI'.
