Well, I'm not sure why it fixed it but I managed to. I booted back into the install USB and used fdisk to delete all of the partitions on the HDD (2 of them) and then used the disk editor program and...
(Basically repeating my original post here)
I DO see the grub menu and the recovery option does the same thing. I haven't updated any graphics drivers lately no, seeing as I JUST installed the OS...
....... nothing?
I install Ubuntu Netbook Edition 10.10 on my Samsung NC10, and the live cd portion worked phenomenally. Wifi and everything else worked out of the box.
However, after the install when I attempt to...
Bump.
Anyone got any ideas on this?
Is there anyway to remove window borders in Ubuntu? Something like the right click - > undecorate window like in openbox is mostly what I'm looking for.
Huh. That freed up about 200 meg which let me login and empty the trash, freeing up about 8 gig. Does deleting stuff with rm still send it to the trash?
Thanks for the help guys.
So, whenever I attempt to login to KDE it boots me back to the login screen, I checked around and apparently my hard drive is full. So, I go around and delete some stuff and my hard drive is still...
Anyone have any ideas at all?
I also have a game called Regnum online installed and that runs fine across one monitor. Also, even when Savage is put into windowed mode it has no resolution options.
I have a nvidia 6200 card with the latest drivers installed with 2 1024x768 monitors using Twinview. Savage currently runs across both monitors in 2048x768 mode, and there are no options in the...
No, once the 2 gig on the first hard drive is used up, the system reports that there is no free space, even though I should have .9 gig free (according to GParted). And things that require free space...
Yeah, but I'm losing almost nine gig on the second drive... which is more than I really want to be losing. the .9 gig I'm missing doesn't even really matter.
Oh well, thanks for the information.
Well, according to Google, 2.9 Gigabytes would only be .3625 gigabytes rather than 2... so I'm guessing that's not it.
This is incredibly odd.
I have 2 hard drives, a 20 gig and a 180 gig.
The 20 gig has 2 partitions, a 729 MiB swap partition and a 17.93 GiB partition. The problem is that according to GParted...
If anyone knows anything at all about this, even if all they know is that it isn't possible. It would be greatly appreciated.
I'm wondering if this is at all possible to do? Full screen gaming can be somewhat irritating when the mouse switches screens every time I hit an edge. If there would be anyway to have a toggle...
