    All of their players work great with linux, they have open source software for their devices and they have some of the best players I've ever used, I'm currently using the Cowon J3.

    After some extensive debugging turns out it was the "roar.so" plugin hanging things up I just removed it from the plugin directory and bam it's fixed.
