whoah Noob-un-2 that is really a great work you did on your netbook man but I think making ubuntu glowing logo at the back of a laptop may be a bit harder than apple logo because of the thin lines...
by the way what exactly do want to use in Cheese really?, perhaps you can do it using Guvcview type this in terminal "sudo apt-get install guvcview" if you still don't have it on your ubuntu maybe...
yes I use cd-r king webcam on ubuntu 10.10, 11.04 and Linux Mint 11 and works just fine!, no issue with Skype, cheese, VLC and Guvcview ;) here is the webcam that we use Click here
